Quick Access Popup 11.5.4.0​

  • Autoexecutable favorites or groups
  • Add the "Launch at startup" option on "Basic tab" of the "Add/Edit Favorite" dialog box for all types of favorites including "Groups" (except "Text Separator" and individual group members)
  • Press the Shift key while launching QAP to bypass the autoexecution of these favorites
  • In "Tools, Special Searches", add a new item "Search Favorites Launched at Startup"

  • Launch QAP favorites from the command line
  • Add the command "LaunchFavorite" to QAPmessenger tat launches the favorite specified in the second parameter (between double-quotes)
  • For example, if the favorite "FavName" is in the Main menu, launch it with: C:...QAPmessenger.exe LaunchFavorite "> FavName"
  • If the favorite "FavName" is in a submenu, launch it with: C:...QAPmessenger.exe LaunchFavorite "> SubMenu1 > SubMenu2 > FavName"
  • If the favorite name includes ampersand (like "&FavName" or "FavName && Co.c"), make sure you enter them as they appear in the Favorite name

  • Total Commander and Directory Opus side options
  • The following changes are for users who selected "Directory Opus" (DOpus) or "Total Commander" (TC) in "Options, File Managers"
  • Add an option in "Options, File Managers" to open favorites of type "Folder" or "Special Folder" in the "Destination" pane
  • When opening a "Group", add two options to open favorites of types "Folder" or "Special Folder" in the "Active side" or the "Destination" side
  • Fix an "infinite loop" bug when opening a group in TC when it contains a Special folder (like "My Computer")
  • In "Options, File managers", when the option "the current TC/DOpus tab" is selected under "File manager preferences", disable the irrelevant options "Use tabs instead of opening a new window" and the side options below this checkbox
  • Total Commander Directory Hotist
  • When opening a folder from the QAP Feature "TC Directory Hotlist", open the folder in the active pane and, if specified in WinCmd.ini, open the "Target path" in the target pane
  • Note: TC commands like cm_OpenDesktop or cm_OpenDrives are currently not supported in QAP TC Directory Hotlist (these entries are skipped in the "TC Directory Hotlist" menu)
  • Various bug fixes and improvements
  • Fix issue when calling the "Always on top" QAP Feature from the popup menu on an Explorer.exe window
  • After executing the "Always on top" command, add a confirmation popup when turning it "On" or when the command fails
  • Fix a bug when positioning a secondary dialog box when the main window is maximized or close to top-right of a screen
  • Italian language file update

Quick Access Popup 11.5.5.0​

  • Groups
  • In "Edit Favorite" dialog box, "Basic Settings" tab, add a checkbox to "Also display this group in a submenu"
  • When a favorite of type "Group" has this new option enabled, clicking the group item shows a popup menu including the group members, allowing to launch them individually, and an additional entry to "Launch all items" to open all group members
  • At this time, this group menu is "detached" from the main menu
  • Various improvements:
  • Fix bug in Total Commander when using an item from the TC Hotlist:
  • if there is no target path, the folder is open on the configured side (Active, Left, Right or Destination)
  • if there is target path in the TC Hotlist, open the folder on the active pane and the target path on the destination pane
  • For Directory Opus users, when opening a folder on a Windows virtual desktop, QAP now detects if DOpus is already running in this virtual desktop before launching a new DOpus instance
  • In "Edit Favorite" dialog box for Snippets, in "Advanced Settings" tab, add a checkbox "Never prompt for this snippet", to be used when a snippet does not require an application window to be active when it is launched
  • Disable the "Edit" entry in "Customize" window context menus when there are more than one item selected
  • In "Options, Popup Menu", replace the application inclusion/exclusion language with more appropriate vocabulary
  • Language files translation for v11.5.4 and 11.5.5
  • Updated version of AutoHotkey runtime v1.1.33.10

  • Date-time placeholders:
  • In placeholders support new format {Now:ld} for last day of the month
  • Support date calculation with syntax {Now[sign][value pairs]:[format]}, where:
  • [sign] is "+" or "-"
  • [valu pairs] is one or more pairs of a number and a unit identified by one of the letters "smhdMy" (case sensitive) for seconds, minutes, hours, days, months or years
  • For example "{Now+1d:yyyy-MM-dd}" for tomorrow, "{Now-1y6M:yyyy-MM-dd}" for a date 1.5 year ago or "{Now+3h30m:HH:mm}" for in 1.5 hour from now

  • When running on Windows 11 22H2 (build 22621.675 released October 18 or more recent) and preferred file manager is Windows Explorer:
  • Add in "Options, File Managers" a checkbox to open folders in a new tab of active (or last used) Windows Explorer instead of in a new Explorer window
  • Change method to navigate folder in the active tab using internal Windows object (change not visible to user)
  • Fix bug enclosing document path in double-quotes if path includes .com or .exe followed by space, also fixing bug when using the "Launch with" option in some situations
  • Speed up pasting of URL in browser when opening a Link favorite to change page (navigating) in current browser
  • Fix some French language encoding errors and a typo in Russian language file

- update STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for all users of v11.6+
- fix bug preventing from changing folder in a dialog box when the QAP menu was open using the keyboard shortcut (Win + W, if you kept the default setting)
- blocked applications in "Keyboard shortcuts" in "Options, Launch Advanced Options" now only block the favorites keyboard shortcuts but not anymnore the main QAP menu keyboard hotkey (Win + W, if you kept the default setting)
